Takeover of Scandic Markiser AS by Verano B.V.
Verano B.V. has entered into a definitive contract regarding the takeover of its Norwegian partner Scandic Markiser AS. Scandic Markiser AS, located in Hunndalen, Norway, is one of the market leaders in Norway in the field of sun protection and related products. The family business, first founded in 1995, boasts a rich history and extensive brand awareness among Norwegian consumers. Scandic Markiser AS had a turnover of approximately 18 million in 2020.
The Scandic Markiser AS takeover will allow Verano B.V. to expand its activities by drawing on the Scandic brand’s strength, combined with local knowledge of the Norwegian consumer behaviour. Both the Scandic Markiser AS management team and all employees will form part of Verano B.V., but they’ll continue to operate under the Scandic Markiser AS brand. The organisation in Hunndalen, Norway, will remain unchanged.
